Indeed Cozumel has lots of experiences and places to be discovered. One must try to visit its main attraction which is its National Marine Park; part of the second largest reef barrier in the world, with beautiful coral reef formation and abundant diversified marine life. Rent a jeep and go all around the Island on your own it is an easy drive, or choose one of many activities that the island has t offer you; like diving or snorkeling. Or just spend your day in one of many beautiful and pristine beaches you could find in Cozumel.  San Miguel is the main town in Cozumel with lots of restaurants, bars and shops that make it ideal to spend a nice afternoon and hopefully with a nice sunset as a backdrop which you will probably enjoy greatly.
